Description

Manchester City Council Children Services wishes to commission an organisation / agency to deliver a fivefold service to support the monitoring of the Educational Progress of the Children and Young People in its care. The five service areas required are:
• The daily telephone collection of attendance data for each school aged Child and Young Person in the care of Manchester wherever they live or attend school.
• Termly collection of progress data for each school aged Child and Young Person in the care of Manchester wherever they live or attend school
• A secure Electronic Personal Education Plan (E-PEP) to be used for all Children and Young People in the care of Manchester from being in pre-school to the age of 18, wherever they live or attend education, employment or training.
• A telephone service to follow up on the participation of Young People in the care of Manchester in post 16 education, employment and/or training destinations
• The provision of flexible, responsive and easily accessible reports on and analysis of the data collected through all aspects of the commissioned service. This provision is to support the Virtual School to maintain an holistic overview of the young people in the care of Manchester and to fulfil the reporting requirements of others including MCC senior managers and elected members and Ofsted.
