Description

Hull City Council is seeking to procure sexual and reproductive health services, for the residents of Hull with a focus on prevention and early intervention as well as treatments.
The service will ensure there are effective health promotion campaigns locally that promote good sexual health highlight the risks associated with sexual health, and provide access to high quality services which assist people in remaining healthy, test and treat sexually transmitted infections and provides access to a range of contraception. The services will focus on reducing health inequalities.
The service will be divided into 2 Lots:
Lot 1 - Sexual Health Service
Lot 2 - Sexual Health Promotion Service
In addition Hull City Council will commission Primary Care GP Practices to deliver Long Acting Reversible Contraception.
The Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) System has the following overarching aims:
• Reducing inequalities and improving sexual health outcomes
• Building an open and honest culture where everyone is able to make informed and responsible choices about relationships and sex
• Recognising that sexual ill health can affect all parts of society, often when it is least expected
• Providing accessible services in a way that meets the needs of the local population and those most at risk
• Improve contraception and reduce STI infections
• Reducing unplanned conception especially in under 18's and other vulnerable groups.
• Reducing STI infections especially in high risk groups.
