Description

Tender for the Supply and Installation of Particle Imaging Velocimetry Equipment


Three dimensional PIV system
o The device should be able to provide three dimensional velocity fields over both a thin plane of area 0.5m x 0.5m or over a measuring volume of at least 0.5m x 0.5m x 0.5m, with a sampling rate of at least 1000 samples / sec. Variations to this specification would be considered.
o Velocities in the range of 0 to 40m/s, with an accuracy of 0.2m/s
o The laser light source and optical system must be compliant with IEC 60825-1:2014
o A suitable seeding system shall be provided that is appropriate to the TRAIN Rig conditions.
o A full data logging and processing system shall be provided, with the ability to download data to all common analysis platforms.
o The quote should include on site installation of the system at the TRAIN Rig
o A training package must be provided for a group of users

Support and service help

A reliable service package is required to ensure the full upkeep and efficiency of the product. This can range from service care contracts for durations after installation to warranties for equipment and what they include. This also will include all technical support and training as well as potential application requirements in the future. The suppliers will agree to provide operational support for the duration of the paid for service contract.
