Description

The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services for Clyst Vale Community College.

The contract covers the scope for the provision of all catering within the school for 3 catering outlets (1 of which is a post 16 café), which currently includes breakfast club, morning break, lunch, limited hospitality and free issue requirements.

The contract will commence on 1.9.2017 for a period of 3 years, with a possible extension of 2 years by mutual consent and on the same terms and conditions as the original contract.

The Client is looking for a contractor that will invest to develop 2 of the catering outlets and therefore we request that a member of your Design and Planning team attends the unit visit as well.

The Client expects the successful contractor to enable the continued development of catering through the provision of an innovative, healthy food service, prepared on-site. Sufficient 'local presence' is required to ensure effective ongoing management of the contract throughout its term.

The Client intends to focus heavily on healthy, fresh, seasonal, locally sourced produce and sees the catering service as an exciting opportunity to complement the overall uptake, student and parent experience, through the regular introduction of new ingredients, themed and promotional events. The successful contractor will be required to play their part in acting as a catalyst for improvement of the pupil experience.

Current turnover = approximately 200 000 GBP per year.

There are some staff in LGPS that will transfer to the successful contractor.
