Description

National Museums Liverpool is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to enter into a multi-provider framework agreement to undertake objects installation and associated services across our exhibition galleries and venues. Tenderers are advised that NML has its own in-house installation team, therefore Contractor teams appointed onto this framework agreement are to supplement in-house provision, such as during periods of peak business demands and niche requirements. Appointed contractor team(s) awarded ''call-off' contracts' from this framework agreement will work collaboratively with NML's internal installation team to complete object installations and undertake associated services in line with project milestones, timescales and exhibition programmes.

This framework agreement is for an initial term of 2 years with the option to extend for up to a further 24 months to a maximum term of 4 years, subject to exhibition programmes, funding and satisfactory contractual performance. Subject to sufficient numbers of tenderers meeting the criteria set out within this tender, NML intends to appoint up to six capable contractor teams onto this framework agreement to service NML requirements over the contract term.

The estimated contract value in respect of the initial contract scope (for Renaissance Rediscovered galleries at the Walker Art Gallery) is approximated to be £25,000 to £35,000 excluding VAT (or £30,000 to £42,000 GBP, including VAT). Subject to this framework agreement being extended to its potential maximum term, the maximum total value of all contracts awarded is estimated to be at up to £170,000 GBP excluding VAT, (or up to £204,000 GBP including VAT). As requirements are demand specific and are subject to funding, NML's exhibition programme and venue requirements, contractors appointed onto this framework agreement are advised that no guarantee can be given regarding the total value of 'call-off' contracts awarded, nor business placed.

The initial contract scope and therefore the first ''call-off' contract' to be awarded under this framework agreement is for requirements relating to the object installation for the Renaissance Rediscovered galleries at the Walker Art Gallery. The appointed contractor team must provide a team of 6 experienced Art Handling Technicians to carry out the installation of artworks from 19 June to 21 July 2023. The team of Technicians must include a Lead Technician who will be responsible for managing the team and being the main point of contact with NML.
