Description
Derbyshire County Council Adult Care are inviting tenders from suitably qualified providers to deliver a Self-Management Education Programme for adults living with autism spectrum disorders, and their immediate support network, in Derbyshire, but excluding Derby City.
The service will provide information, advice and strategies for adults living with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their immediate support network. The service will ensure the county council meets statutory duties, such as the Autism Act 2009 and Equality Act 2010 and the Accessible Information Standard. It will also have a prevention and wellbeing focus in line with the principles in the Care Act 2014.
The successful bidder must be prepared to deliver this service in Derby City should the Council choose to extend the service to cover this geographical area. This would be subject to additional funding and would not impact on the volume of service provided in Derbyshire.
