Description

The aim of the client is to ensure and maintain the electrical safety of all of its housing stock.

A dedicated property works programme exists but there is also a requirement for installation works to be carried out on an ad-hoc basis commencement being within 5 days upon receipt of instruction/works order.

For electrical rewires the expectation is these are fully completed within 3 days, including making good and in the event that a full rewire cannot be carried out for varying reasons there is scope within the contract which allows instead for the upgrade of an electrical installation to which the extent will be determined by the client as instructed. Works are to be carried out in both tenanted and void properties. The design of an installation is the contractor's responsibility to client and tenant satisfaction.

Regarding Electrical Installation and Condition Reports (EICR) it is the intention to possess 'satisfactory 'certification only, therefore again, scope is made within the schedule of rates which caters for remedial works in the main Codes 1 and 2.

It is envisaged that approx. 75% of the housing stock will have been tested within the lifetime of this contract.

The client is expecting full site supervision and liaison so as to help achieve contract satisfaction.

All works are to adhere to the IEE 18th edition.
