Description
Chesterfield Borough Council (CBC) is seeking to commission a Contractor to carry out the provision and installation of Property Level Protection (PLP) measures for 61 properties located on Hipper Street West and Alma Street West, Chesterfield. The works will include the supply and installation of a range of PLP measures including but not limited to:
• Flood doors or flood barriers/gates
• Air brick covers (preferably automated)
• Non return valves
• Amending window heights and associated brickwork
• General repair and protection to brickwork and pointing
Note that this list is not exhaustive and reference should be made to the individual property survey reports and recommendations included in Appendix A. In addition, the works will include the 'making good' of any damages to internal and external finishes incurred during the works.
The proposed works have been identified following detailed individual property surveys undertaken by RAB Consultants and will be supervised and managed by Kier Asset Partnership Services (KAPS) on behalf of CBC.
Tenderers are invited to visit and inspect any properties. All visits to inspect and examine the Site, either internally or externally may be made by appointment only by contacting the person named in this invitation to tender. Care must be taken during all visits to minimise disturbance to residents and neighbouring properties.
