Description

International House is one of the the largest office block in Brixton. It is adjacent to the Brixton Recreation Centre ("the Rec") and its current main entrance is on Canterbury Crescent. It has 11 floors, a large roof terrace and a net internal area (NIA) of approximately 4750 sq. m. The building is currently owned and occupied by Lambeth Council, but it will become surplus to requirements in May 2018 as council staff relocate to the redeveloped Your New Town Hall on Brixton Hill.
In light of this, the council has decided to lease International House to a workspace operator for five years (excluding any time for basic refurbishment). The intention is to source an operator who will deliver an exciting workspace aimed at a range of types and sizes of businesses. The workspace should provide social, economic and community benefits for Brixton and Lambeth. The operation may also incorporate other sub-uses that contribute to the council's economic and place making objectives subject to planning.
