Description

This contract will run for four years from October 2017 and is for the creation and maintenance of open areas within the forest environment to allow the Forestry Commission to cull deer and feral wild boar. This contract will be split into two lots, Lot 1- Creation (Mulching); and Lot 2-Maintenance (Swiping). Lot one carries a first year value of approximately £28,000, decreasing to an on demand day rate for the remaining three years. It should be noted that, due to environmental factors, and the ongoing forest works programme the Forestry Commission cannot guarantee the amount for this future spend. Lot two has an annual maximum value of £10,000 for each of the 4 years.

It can be expected that whilst the work for glade creation (Lot 1) will decrease after year one, work for lot 2 will increase over time to maintain open areas created using lot one.
