Description

Raptor survey with the overall aim to identify and describe the raptor interest and habitat potential, identifying opportunities to improve the habitat for raptors, with particular reference, but not restricted to, short eared owl, hen harrier, merlin, and hobby, in line with the conservation objectives of the SSSI and wider conservation interest.
• Collate and review existing data pertaining to raptors
• Undertake field survey and mapping
• Undertake winter roost survey and foraging assessment
• Raptor spring and summer survey
• During the surveys aim to quantify food supply provided by small passerines
