Description

Framework agreement for the provision of homecare medicines services to members of East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub's Pharmacy Procurement Model and members of NHS Commercial Solutions. The framework will cover provision of: -Low / mid tech homecare medicines services (e.g. oral chemotherapy, HIV, Hepatitis) -High tech homecare (e.g. Injectable and nebulised antibiotics). Services are to be provided in line with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Professional Standards for Homecare. Estimated cost excluding VAT: Range: between 75 000 000 and 200 000 000. Interested Parties are directed to the East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub's e-tendering portal: (eoecph.bravosolution.co.uk) where the ITT and further information will be published in due course.

Lot 1 - Low / Mid Tech Homecare Medicines Services.
This lot captures low tech and mid tech homecare medicines services as defined in the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Professional Standards for Homecare. This includes provision of homecare services for the following areas: -HIV -Hepatitis -Oral Chemotherapy -Immunosuppression -Erythropoetin Stimulating Agents (ESAs) -Oral Cystic Fibrosis therapies -Other Bidders under this lot are expected to offer services for one or more of the areas listed above. Bidders are not required to offer services in all areas. Low/mid tech homecare medicines services are predominantly dispense and delivery of licensed medicines for self-administration. For injectable self-administered products there may be a requirement for bidders to provide nursing staff to train patients in their own home to self-administer. It is anticipated that this lot will be primarily direct call of although both direct call off and further competition will permissible.

Lot 2 - Homecare Medicines Service for Antibiotic Products.
This lot captures provision of antibiotic products within a homecare medicines service. This includes: - Nebulised antibiotic products for which the provided homecare medicines service service is categorised as a 'mid tech' service* - Injectable antibiotic products for which the provided homecare medicines service is categorised as a 'high tech' service* *as defined in the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Professional Standards for Homecare. This lot can be used to offer antibiotic products via homecare for a number of indications including cystic fibrosis and can also be used to provide 'step down' OPAT services or 'step up' admission avoidance services. Both direct call off and further competition will permissible under this lot.

Lot 3 - High Tech Homecare Medicines Services.
This lot captures provision of high tech homecare medicines services as defined by the Royal Pharmacy Society Professional Standards. This may include provision of homecare services which require products to be compounded or administration of the product by the bidders clinical staff. This lot is intended for further competition call off only.
