Description
East Cambridgeshire District Council is seeking a contractor to carry out both reactive and planned electrical works at all Council owned properties and open spaces.
Due to the nature and interruption of the supply for some works, there may be a requirement for some works to be carried out either before / after office hours or at a weekend.
The contractor will be required to be NECEI or NAPIT registered and comply with BS7671 / IEE Wiring Regulations 17th Edition, BS5266 Parts 1 - 10 also BS EN 50172 - Code of practice for emergency lighting.
The scope of works will include domestic, industrial and 3 phase.
The successful contractor and any persons working on behalf of the contractor will need to be confident in fault finding and be prepared to work within the Council's 9 public toilets, 2 Traveller sites and sewage treatment compounds all unsupervised.
The contractor will need to provide support 24/7 and respond to emergency callouts within 3/4 - 1 hour where business continuity of health and is affected.
