Description
Herts Valleys CCG and East and North Hertfordshire CCG wish to engage with providers with expertise and experience to deliver the following wheelchair services for residents within Hertfordshire who have long-term mobility problems:
• Clinical assessment and prescription, review and re-assessment
• Purchase and provision of equipment, modification and adaptation of equipment to meet individual needs
• Repair and maintenance including planned preventative maintenance, delivery, collection and training, refurbishment.
Market Engagement Event: 14th October 2016
Providers in the market place will have the opportunity to meet and talk to Herts Valleys CCG and East and North Hertfordshire CCG staff and patient representatives involved in the commissioning of this service. It is expected that the market event will be an interactive session, providing an overview of the existing service and current prevalence, and will seek ideas, suggestions and comments as to what the new service could provide and how it could be delivered.
This event is intended only to gather information from the market, and to request information which may be relevant to the development of any eventual procurement strategy/tender. For the avoidance of doubt this notice is NOT a call for competition.
The scope and structure of these services may be further developed following this market and stakeholder engagement and currently anticipated requirements may change as a result of this ongoing activity.

As set out above, this notice is intended only to inform the market of a prospective contract opportunity and to request information which may be relevant to the development of any eventual procurement strategy/tender.
In the event that Herts Valleys CCG and East and North Hertfordshire CCG decide to formally commence the procurement it is anticipated that a contract notice will be submitted via the OJEU in November 2016.
Suppliers who wish to ask questions in relation to the services without registering to attend the Market Engagement Event can send email requests to: CPHenquiries@eoecph.nhs.uk Any resulting procurement will be managed electronically, details on accessing documentation, and the e-procurement portal address will be provided in due course.
Potential providers will not be prejudiced by any response to this event or PIN published in the OJEU, or failure to respond. All information made available to those attending this event will be made available to bidders who express an interest in any resulting procurement.
This PIN does not formally signify the beginning of a procurement and does not constitute a commitment by Herts Valleys CCG and East and North Hertfordshire CCG to undertake any procurement exercise.
