Description

This contract is for the supply and fit of tyres, batteries and other related services and the number of vehicles/plant items in use which may draw off this contract is currently 166.

We are seeking to enter a contract with a single overarching Contractor who is set up with a network of sub-contractors to provide the necessary local coverage required under this contract. All communication, management of jobs, invoicing, reporting and resolution of complaints will be the responsibility of the overarching Contractor.

In conjunction with CWAC, the Contractor have the facility to nominate dedicated subcontractors to serve all areas of the borough within the 1 hour call-out timeframe or to call out the sub-contractor who can attend in the quickest time or has the available stock tyres required.

Each supplier under this umbrella contract will be expected to carry appropriate stock tyres for the nominated list of fleet vehicles within their area.

CWAC operates a Michelin policy and will work with the Contractor to ensure that this policy remains the most suitable for our fleet based on the data available, including pattern of damage, wear and best practice.

The contract is initially for vehicles on behalf of Cheshire West and Chester. During the life of the contract, Cheshire West Recycling (CWR), a legal entity of the Council, may join this contract. There is no guarantee of this and bidders should only assume that the Cheshire West and Chester element is required.
