Description

The Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust is issuing this invitation to tender in connection with the competitive procurement for Tackling Inequalities - Specialist Community Forensic Team Project.

The specialist Community Forensic Team (SCFT) model is currently being piloted across England through NHSE. It is the result of extensive co-production with experts by experience (including family and carers), clinicians, practitioners, commissioners and policy makers that drew on data, stories and studies

The aim of this funding is to challenge some of the deep-rooted inequalities people who use secure care face. There is an over representation in Sheffield secure care of people from a BAME background. While 19.2% of the Sheffield population is from a BAME background, just under half (46%) of the Sheffield secure inpatient population are. We are therefore focussing on this as a priority area.

This is a time-limited and finite resource, so it's important to link it to broader strategies, teams and organisations to ensure the work begun here can be sustained and continued.
