Description

This invitation to tender describes the policy background, detail of the APC intervention, the
research requirements and research project management detail.

The overall aim of the APC is to build on the existing strengths of the UK automotive sector
to achieve significant progress in developing low carbon propulsion technologies and
products, and help secure its future in global manufacturing.
The intended impact is to help accelerate CO2 reduction, secure and develop high value
added manufacturing in the UK, and win an important share of future propulsion markets.
The policy objectives can be unpacked into a policy logic model to show the chain of
causality from government intervention to intended impact.
