Description

1.1 The EYFS sets the statutory requirements and standards that all early years providers must meet for children aged 0-5 and are held to account on by Ofsted. The reforms to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) will become statutory from September 2021 and will impact all early years providers in England, including primary schools with reception provision. We have allowed c.3000 primary schools the opportunity to become early adopter schools and implement the reforms one year early from September 2020 on a voluntary basis.

The Department for Education is running a tender opportunity for the provision the services of a strategic stakeholder engagement partner that will assist in the successfully delivery of the following aims and objectives of early years education and care:
a) supporting the sector in understanding and meeting the requirements of the EYFS reforms.
sharing information and evidence on child development, and effective practice in early education
b) supporting the sector in understanding the vital safety requirements of the EYFS, for instance regarding the safety of children when sleeping and eating.
c) consultation and engagement with the sector directly through a dedicated website, Facebook page, facilitated vodcasts and CPD events.
