Description

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council (TMBC) is the local authority of the Metropolitan Borough of Tameside, one of ten metropolitan boroughs that comprise Greater Manchester. Founded in 1974, Tameside has an estimated population of 225,197 people (2018).

Tameside Council is responsible for local authority responsibilities within the borough and since 2016 has, together with NHS Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group, formed the Tameside and Glossop Strategic Commission, which is responsible for health services across Tameside and Glossop.

Tameside and Glossop Strategic Commission is seeking to procure a social research partner to regularly gather, analyse and present information from local communities. This is based around three key themes: 1) experiences of living with Covid-19, 2) longer-term impact of Covid-19, and 3) building back better and fairer. The specification below outlines the scope, background, requirements, timescales and constraints of the proposed project.
