Description

Reading Borough Council is looking to go out to tender for non-accommodation based domestic abuse services in the Reading borough. This summary specification and proposed budget has been informed by responses to our public consultation and is subject to further change and to the final decision in respect of the procurement by Policy Committee on 13th March.

As part of this we would appreciate your feedback on what we are proposing in terms of the service.

This service will be offering services to domestic abuse victims, survivors, their families, perpetrators of domestic abuse and services that work with these client groups. All the services will be community based and will compliment refuge provision provided under a separate contract.

The service will also be proactive in signposting to relevant local organisations and supporting local organisation to effectively support domestic abuse victims and survivors and their families.

The service will adapt to local need and work with the Domestic Abuse Strategy Group to manage local priorities and resources.

The service provider will facilitate childcare where necessary to enable clients to access and engage with the service.
