Description

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) will shortly be embarking on an Open OJEU procurement to establish a
contract for the provision of a 12 months contract for the Global Young Innovators pilot programme which will
bring together, support, fund and champion young innovators (aged 18-30) from the UK and developing partner
countries to address and solve global challenges.
Innovate UK has secured funding from the GCRF budget to deliver the Global Young Innovators Programme
pilot programme which is designed to bring together, support, fund and champion young innovators from the UK
and developing partner countries to address and solve global challenges.
The aim of the tender exercise is to find a delivery partner to run the pilot the Global Young Innovators
programme.
The winning provider will need to:
• Developing new global peer groups - bringing together young innovators (aged 18-30) from the UK and
developing countries.
• Creating a platform for young people to contribute their ideas and UK and South African young innovators to
work together to collaboratively develop new solutions to solving critical global challenges.
• Enabling young people to develop crucial business skills and develop their ideas into viable businesses
through funding and support.
• Building equitable partnerships with community organisations, businesses as ambassadors and NGOs in
partner developing countries (South Africa) to frame challenges and support young innovators
• Identifying, supporting and celebrating the innovators and leaders of the future

finalised.

The estimated value of the project excluding VAT is £600,000.00 for 1 year period.
UKRI may consider information and responses received as part of the preliminary market consultation to
help inform UKRI options and further decision making in relation to the planning and conduct of the proposed
procurement. For the avoidance of doubt, this notice is not a Call for Competition, a Contract Notice will be
issued as a call for competition. Not registering an interest shall not prevent any supplier participating in a
potential future procurement, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of preliminary market
consultation will be at each supplier's own cost.
