Description

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and North Warwickshire Borough Council, are jointly seeking to maximise recycling material processing from household kerbside collections. To facilitate this, the above named authorities in Warwickshire are seeking to procure the services of 1 or more, materials recovery facilities (MRF).

The successful contractor(s) will be required to provide a delivery point for recycling materials to be unloaded from 26 tonne vehicles from kerbside household recycling collections. It will take ownership of the materials, and will be required to process and separate for recycling.

The contract delivery will be servicing Nuneaton and Bedworth, and North Warwickshire, therefore should take into consideration locality of the contract and delivery points. A transfer station provided will be taken into consideration.

To enable the authorities to maximise potential benefits, the requirement has been separated into 3 lots:

Lot 1. Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council Only (See Appendix 1)
Lot 2. North Warwickshire Borough Council Only (See Appendix 2)
Lot 3. Combined Lot for BOTH Councils (See Appendix 3)

Therefore a single provider may be awarded Lot 3, or the Lots 1 and 2 may be awarded to different providers. Whichever Lot(s) are awarded, the Contractor(s) will be required to enter into a separate contract with each Council (including where Lot 3 is awarded).
