Description
The London Violence Reduction Unit is seeking a provider to provide a Leadership and Development Programme for youth practitioners working on the frontline with young people affected by violence in London.
The programme will be designed to combine a mixture of practical and specialist training in areas most relevant to frontline professionals working with young people who are vulnerable to being exposed to violence, with business management skills and individualised coaching so participants have the one-to-one leadership support for their professional development.
From 2019 to 2023 the VRU invested in the development of a youth sector practitioners' leadership and development programme entitled 'Rise Up'. This programme was targeted at supporting youth sector practitioners from across London, who work with young people and within communities that have been affected by violence. The development of Rise Up was informed by discussions and feedback from consultation with community-led organisations, including youth sector practitioners, VCS organisations and young people.
This Leadership and Development Programme 2 aims to provide high quality, specialist and bespoke training and support to help youth practitioners build on their expertise in supporting young people and their leadership skill to develop in their careers.
The programme will be designed to combine a mixture of practical and specialist training in areas most relevant to frontline professionals working with young people who are affected by violence, with business management skills and individualised coaching so participants have the one-to-one leadership support for their professional development.
The programme will be delivered in four packages in recognition of the different levels of capacity of youth practitioners as well as the different audiences.
