Description
As part of the Birmingham and Solihull Youth Promise Plus (YPP) there is now an interim opportunity for a 6 months Contract commencing November 2016. This will require 10 Intervention Workers offering specialist support for young people at risk of offending/re-offending. These workers will form part of the matrix of Intervention Workers already commissioned to work with other cohorts as part of the Birmingham and Solihull Youth Promise Plus arrangement.
For this contract the Intervention Workers will be based with the Birmingham Youth Offending Services and the Police Integrated Offender Management Teams across Birmingham and Solihull.
The Intervention Workers, on a case-loaded basis, will engage with, and provide holistic and tailored personal support to, NEET (Not Engaged in Education, Employment or Training) young people (15-29 year olds including both unemployed and economically inactive) with the specific aim of progressing them into positive outcomes including education, training, work experience and ultimately sustainable employment.
Birmingham & Solihull Youth Promise Plus is a Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) endorsed initiative funded through the European Commission ESIF 2014+ European Social Fund (ESF) and "Youth Employment Initiative" (YEI) arrangements.
