Description

Birmingham is on a journey to clean up our air and reduce levels of NO2 in the air to a maximum average of 40μg/m3 by 2020 or sooner. This means that we need to introduce a Clean Air Zone in 2019.

A Clean Air Zone is an area where targeted action is taken to improve air quality, in particular by discouraging the most polluting vehicles from entering the zone. No vehicle is banned in the zone, but those which do not have clean enough engines will have to pay a daily charge if they travel within the area.

The Consultant will be expected to analyse the feedback from the consultation process. This will include reviewing the following forms of information:

• Questionnaire responses (online and paper), the number of open and closed questions will be confirmed once the questionnaire has been finalised. Responses from paper questionnaires will be manually entered on BeHeard by BCC and data from BeHeard will be issued to the Consultant on a weekly basis via encrypted email.
• Feedback received during consultation events (public drop-in sessions and business seminars).
• Correspondence log consisting of feedback received from social media and emails. This will be issued to the Consultant on a weekly basis
