Sheffield Hallam University wish to source a placement IT system that will support the efficient and effective administration of placements to student, and providers. We also wish to offer the opportunity for self-service to students, providers, and staff.

We plan to have fully implemented a new system by September 2019.

The aims of purchasing and implementing a placement management system are:

• Introduction of reporting to improve efficiencies with the process and to enable early intervention with potential problems and to be better able to forward plan.
• Ability to produce management information and introduce key performance indicators for the first time.
• Ability to have Management Information to inform decision making and strategy development
• Ability for students, providers and academic staff to self-serve, view data, enter data and documentation directly into the system.
• Improve the student experience by enabling earlier notification of placement allocations
• Enhanced capability to provide accurate and timely communication and information access to all key stakeholders.
