Description
Liverpool City Council is seeking to partner with a fully Ofgem licenced supply company which will sell gas and electricity to both residential and business customers under the Council's Liverpool Energy Community Company (LECCy) brand essentially as a "white label" arrangement. Through this arrangement the Council wants to address 3 main aims:
1. Tackling Fuel Poverty;
2. Supporting Independent Living; and
3. Supporting Businesses.
The Council also has the following objectives:
• To offer a lower cost than other suppliers. It is envisaged that this will be achieved through a not for profit arrangement and by minimising overheads;
• To gain the innovation benefits from an early roll out of smart meters; and
• To provide high quality customer care.
As part of early market engagement, Liverpool City Council have provided draft procurement documentation, including draft service specification for review/comments in relation to understanding, feasibility, and vision of Liverpool City Council. Please note: All available information at this stage is available by registering on https://procontract.due-north.com and searching for tender reference DN166815 - Comments on the draft specification and associated procurement documentation are invited back by 5pm on 3rd August 2016.
