Description

A discovery partner is needed to build on existing work to document the current experience of bank workers when they register with multiple staff banks, NHS Professionals and agencies and define the user needs, user journeys, process maps, data flows, data standards, user stories and personas for a new experience using digital staff passports and define the associated benefits.
The completed and current work to build on is listed below:
1. Behavioural insight discovery to understand the motivations and challenges faced by bank staff - completed by the NHSE&I Temporary Staffing Team.
2. Doctors in Training (DiT) discovery to define the user needs, process maps, data flows, data standards and personas for DiT who frequently rotate - completed by the NHSE&I Enabling Staff Movements team in partnership with NHSX and HEE.
3. Workforce interoperability pilots across 4 ICSs developing a proof of concept for digital staff passports to be interoperable with collaborative banks - ongoing and led as a joint project between the NHSE&I Workforce Optimisation, Enabling Staff Movements and Temporary Staffing teams.
4. Discovery work into all staff movements, excluding bank workers, is also getting underway and this will provide a high-level view of all staff movements and the potential benefits of digital staff passports. This high-level discovery work will dovetail with this detailed discovery work for bank workers.
5. Work currently underway to convert the NHS Employment Checks Standards and the Core Skills Training Framework into 'Trust or Trusted Frameworks'. This discovery work will be informed by the outputs of that work.
6. Diagrammatic example of a user journey, user stories, 'to be' process map, data flow, Wireframe and personas are included in the appendix.
