Description
The Hertfordshire Chalk Groundwater Model (HCGM) represents 4060km2 of the Chalk aquifer to the north-east of London, including the county of Hertfordshire, parts of Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, Essex, Cambridgeshire, and London. The model represents a number of Chalk streams that are situated in the Wye, Colne and Lee catchments. The primary focus in this Phase1 project is to update the existing MODFLOW-96 model with new climatic datasets, refreshed artificial influences and observed data with post-2015 data and information that is now available to us. This will then lead to a model review and optional refinement.
