Description

Town Centre and Neighbourhood based youth work offer a unique opportunity for Children and Young People to access leisure activities, informal education and support, advice and guidance from practitioners skilled in developing relationships with the borough's youth population.
Across the borough there are a number of providers of youth work in all its various forms and this proposal is designed to maximise local resources, build on individual organisational strengths and to maximise engagement. The proposal is also designed to ensure that provision is targeted according to evidenced need and delivered in the 5 areas listed below at times that best support available leisure time of Children and Young People:
Lot 1: Blackburn Central
Lot 2: Darwen
Lot 3: Blackburn West
Lot 4: Blackburn East
Lot 5: Blackburn North

A maximum of three lots will be awarded per supplier.

It is an expectation that this commission will be match funded to the level of 100% by the successful partner in respect of all five lots.

On business case added "The proposed contract period is to be a 2 year term with an option to extend up to a further 1 year".

Dependant on the outcome of the tender process and the number of successful partners TUPE may apply.
