NHS Blood & Transplant has procured new rapid plasma freezers which will freeze all appropriate apheresis and whole blood derived plasma components, along with cryoprecipitate components, to the appropriate core temperatures in the timeframes specified in the Guidelines for Blood Transfusion Services in the UK - current edition and the Council of Europe guidelines.
