Description
All failed and loose coatings and corrosion products are to be removed by hand tool cleaning to St3. Tightly adhering sound paint is to be cleaned with water. All parapets and structural steelwork to be repainted with compatible chlorinated rubber paint, colour as existing Green 14-C-39. All bearings are be painted with a 115, 116, 168 system. Colour- as existing- Green 14-C-39
Access for painting is to be by suspended scaffold and only half of the river channel is to be scaffolded at any time.
Traffic management- Glasshouses bridge is to remain open to vehicles and pedestrians throughout the duration of the works.
