Description

CPI require a fully coordinated design team to provide architectural and engineering design services to
i) develop the design of the FoF to RIBA stage 3 and provide a design package to enable a due diligence assessment by the funders TVU
ii) to submit and obtain approval for a planning application for the proposed design which addresses the Reserved Matters and planning conditions for Central Park
iii) to further develop the design package, typically around RIBA stage 3 and as described in the deliverables below and to provide the basis for a tender package for a Design and Build (D&B) Contract (by others).
The scope of the engineering design and other services will include: civil and structural design, mechanical and electrical design, acoustician/vibration, fire engineer, ecologist, travel & transport assessment and other services required to provide information for the design and planning application. A topographical survey of the site is available which has been carried out for Darlington Borough Council (Appendix 4a and 4b) although they provide no warranty nor accept any liability. CPI will procure the Site/Ground Investigation (with assignees) with advice from the civil and structural designers. CPI will procure the BREEAM assessor and also appoint a Quantity Surveyor to develop the detailed cost planning in support of the design.
