Description

The Isle of Man Government invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to provide Technical Advice and Support for the development of the Transport and Mobility Sector to the Department of Infrastructure, Highway Services Division.
Highway Services would like to enter a framework agreement with a company that leads in research and the development of the transport and mobility sector that can offer on hand technical advice, detailed reports, relevant solutions and project work on topics including but not limited to:
- Policy formulation
- Trends and behaviours in mobility
- Legislation in highways, vehicles and drivers
- Emissions and sustainability
- Traffic flow and congestion
- Road safety
- Driver training and competence
- Driver and vehicle licencing
- Highway maintenance techniques and costs analysis
- Smart infrastructure and new technologies
- Upcoming and current systems
- Vehicle standard engineering
- Project based research and reporting
The consultancy must have extensive knowledge and previous experience in dealing with the above topics across not only the United Kingdom and surrounding islands, but Europe also. Evidence of your solutions that have been implemented and proven beneficial is also essential as you will be expected to provide relevant solutions for the Island that we can then implement.
The consultancy must also be able to demonstrate a significant research capability that maintains...st be readily available with the ability to carry out projects over long periods of time and also to strict deadlines.
The type of work we cover is usually sensitive affecting the infrastructure and residents across the whole Island. Highways seek a company that can respect the sensitivity of the projects whilst being tactical in attaining the information required.

If you have not previously registered, please visit https://in-tendhost.co.uk/iomg/aspx/Home and select 'Register' from the menu on the left side of the Home Page.
Once you have registered your organisation you should select this tender from the list of 'Current Tenders' and 'View Details' then click 'Express an Interest' at the bottom of the page. Once you have clicked on 'Express an Interest' a 'Form of Acknowledgement' tab will appear. This tab will provide a copy of the 'Appeals Procedure' to be downloaded. In order to progress to the next stage of the process you will need to 'Opt-In' and complete the 'Form of Acknowledgment' questionnaire and click 'Submit Return' before the Expression of Interest deadline as detailed below.
