Description

The Commissioners are looking for suitably qualified and capable providers who have experience of delivering Audiology services across Derbyshire and the ability to deliver a comprehensive patient-centred direct access adult hearing service for age related hearing loss in line with national guidance and local requirements. The vision for people with age related hearing problems is for them to receive, high quality, efficient services delivered closer to home, with short waiting times and high responsiveness to the needs of local communities, free at the point of access. The Direct Access Adult Hearing Service is aimed at adults, who are in the inclusion criteria, experiencing difficulties with their hearing and communication who feel they might benefit from hearing assessment and care, including the option of trying hearing aids to reduce these difficulties.

This service is being offered to the market utilising an Any qualified Provider (AQP)process. It is essential that interested providers must be able to demonstrate an ability to mobilise the service provision to ensure a service commencement date of 01.04.2017. Under the terms of an a AQP, no activity is guaranteed and is therefore entered into as a zero value, zero volume contract. Payment is based on activity only, as identified within the schedule of rates (please refer to ITT documentation for details).

Service contract is 5 years in duration, however it is subject to a 3 year re-accreditation process for all providers. A new window of opportunity will be opened at year 3 to allow any new entrants an opportunity to apply under the AQP process.
