Description
Refurbishment of 2 four bedded and 2 six bedded wards on Longleat ward at Warminster Hospital the works include flooring, decorating, lighting and replacement of wash hand basins the ward will be occupied during the works the contractor shall be given one room at a time which must be completed and handed over within 7 days. Once completed another room will be allocated within 1 day and again to be completed within 7 days. The contractor shall carry out a builders clean on completion of each room
The refurbishment will cover the following:
•Replacement of flooring with a suitable vinyl that has been proven to be dementia friendly
•Replace wash hand basins and taps that are compliant to HTM64
•Replace lighting with LED fittings which will save energy
•Redecorate ward bedded areas using suitable colours
Warminster Hospital is a community hospital situated in the town centre and has 25 in-patient beds on Longleat ward. 'The Trust endeavours to provide excellent accommodation for its patients by the continuous maintenance of its patient areas. Longleat Ward is a very busy ward with 24/7 care there are patients on the ward that suffer from Dementia , so the aim of this refurbishment is to achieve a dementia friendly environment.
