Description
The Authority requires suitably qualified sub-contractors for the above Framework opportunity.
The nature of works are to be completed in non-residential premises and public buildings. These premises may be owned and operated by the Authority, their business partners and private enterprises.
The Authority will be the Principal Contractor and the successful Tenderers will be Sub-Contractors to the Authority.
The Authority anticipated being able appoint up to 3 Framework Suppliers
The successfully awarded Contractors will be required to work together with North Tyneside Council (the Authority) to drive improvements and support the aims and ambitions of the Contract.
The Framework has an initial duration of 36 months with the option to extend, at the sole discretion of the Authority, of up to a further 12 (twelve) months.
The Authority requires work including, but not limited, to:
• Heating repairs
• Domestic Hot Water Repairs
• Rainwater installations
• High Pressure water issues
• Replacement of plumbing items, such as pipework, fittings, valves, radiators, sinks, hand basins, toilets, urinals or water heaters
The exact nature of the individual works to be undertaken under the Contract, will be detailed at the point of the request notification including detailed scope of works, design documentations, specifications, program dates and pricing documents.
The Contractor should note the requirements for a responsive service. Any work identified by the Authority as "urgent" should be completed within 24 hours and any work identified by the Authority as "responsive repairs" should be completed within 7 days.

Contract Duration
The initial contract is for 36 months with an option to extend for up to a further 12 months after which renewals will be undertaken in accordance with the Authority's contract Standing Orders and at the sole discretion of the Authority.
Number of Successful Tenderers
The maximum number of Contractors to be awarded on the Framework = 3 (three)
