Description

New substation and associated civil works at land adjacent to Queen Street South, Huddersfield

The works comprise the construction of a new 7.5MW HV substation for the University of Huddersfield, including the installation of all associated switchgear, and a civils package to undertake trench work and high voltage cable infrastructure around the campus to existing buildings. The contractor is also responsible for appointing Northern Powergrid for the option 2 'non-contestable works' under this project.
