Description

Removal of existing roof, replace with new corrugated sheet material, dispose of old roof material.


Replacement of barn roof at Parsonage Down NNR
• Remove and safely dispose of all existing roof materials including approximately 14 tonnes of asbestos.
• Provision of all safety equipment necessary to undertake the work safely. Including but not limited to safety netting and perimeter safety rails for both buildings.
• Cut bolts and nails and remove existing asbestos and fibre cement sheeting in whole sheets.
• Dispose of the asbestos sheeting in a manner which complies with HSE guidance on the Disposal of Asbestos Waste, Control of Asbestos & Carriage of Dangerous Goods Regulations. Including but not limited to the correct wrapping, labelling, transportation and disposal at a licensed disposal site.
• Provision of all necessary access equipment and tele handler with licenced operators to safely handle old and new sheeting.
• Supply and installation of all new roofing material. Approximately 620 square metres of natural grey fibre cement P6R roof sheets (to include 10 x P6R roof lights) and all necessary fittings. Approximately 50m of bargeboards. Approximately 70m of 150mm PVC gutters on new treated timber fascia boards. Approximately 30 square metres of timber cladding. On site measurements will be required.
• Replace small gable end section in plastic coated tin sheeting
• Maintain a safe working environment whilst surrounded by ongoing farm operations, ensuring no risk is exposed to staff or visitors.
• Ensure the work site is left clean and free from asbestos contamination.
