Description

North East Lincolnshire Council in partnership with Engie are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified contractor for a flood allviation scheme in Humberston.

The scheme involves earthworks being carried out on Jubilee playing fields (Coniston Crescent, Humberston) The works to be carried out are the construction of a flood protection bund to protect properties at risk with an adjacent flood storage area for the temporary holding of flood water, which will return to the drainage systems once the rainfall ceases and water levels recede. The works have been designed to have minimal visual impact on the playing fields which will continue to be a leisure area used extensively by local residents after the completion of the works.

Because earthworks are the main work element of the scheme it is imperative that a contractor with extensive experience in these types of schemes is appointed
