4. BACKGROUND
The Alhambra Theatre was refurbished in 1984 to 1986 at a cost of £8.2 million jointly funded by City of Bradford Council and European monies and is a number one touring venue which attracts large scale musicals such as Billy Elliot, Wicked, Mary Poppins, and The Lion King.
After 32 years and approximately 48 weekly shows a year with over a 1000 patrons through the doors per show Bradford Theatres (the Alhambra Theatre) are looking to refurbish the auditorium upper circle level seating over a four week period.
The Council is seeking to appoint one Contractor to collect after removing, refurbish and re-install seating at the Bradford Alhambra Theatre, located at Morley Street, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD7 1AJ.
