Description
The University is looking for a partner to host our public website as well as other blogs and sites related to the university. The host will have a minimum of six years, with at least 1,000 plus users. The allowance of installing multiple wordpress sites with the ability to allow a multisite system on a site.
The University is looking to continue using a WordPress hosting system as a platform service. This service needs to be hosted in Europe, preferably in the UK if possible. The hosting service will be looking at hosting a number of WordPress sites, this includes a Restaurant site, Hotel Site, a Blog site with multi-sites enabled and the main public website for the university which runs multi sites for parts of the university which require a public facing website.
The main public website had over 3 million visitors in the last year and the candidate will need to be able to handle moments of high activity. Also the candidate will be needed to monitor the public website 24 hours a day for a number of days so that any issues can be resolved rapidly. Over the period of the tenancy the Digital Services Team will be looking to continue moving websites, microsites and blogs which are used within the university to the hosting solution, this will include needing multi site enabled for some sites so that microsites and blogs can site under certain sites.
The Contract shall be for a period of 2 years with the option at University discretion to extend for a further year, with a commencement date of 30th April 2020
