Description
As the result of an arson attack in November 2019, the existing tennis pavilion at Heigham Park (The Avenues, Norwich, NR2 3PA) suffered extensive fire damage. The council is conducting an open tender for a single supplier for the re-building of the timber and thatched pavilion. The thatch roof covering, timber roof structure and ceiling, left hand side and rear walls have been largely destroyed. However, the front and right-hand side and rear elevations remain intact with localised damage in the region of the junction of the roof and walls. The proposal is to retain as much of the original structure as possible and re-build on a like-for-like basis.
