Description

We are looking to commission a short note on the wider economic impacts of government support for regional air connectivity.

The note should identify whether these schemes deliver identifiable wider economic impacts, additional to those captured by direct users of the regional air connectivity scheme (including public service obligations).

If so, the note should clarify the mechanisms behind the market failures that lead to these wider economic impacts, and whether these wider economic impacts vary by the type of government support implemented.

A secure website known as AWARD will be used for suppliers to upload responses to. It may also be used to handle clarification questions.
