Description
Worcester City Council is inviting tenders for the provision of a building repairs and maintenance and minor works service. The service is a series of small works orders for reactive response maintenance, and some minor planned works.
The service to be provided comprises of the following:-
A - Reactive maintenance and repair according to a priority assigned by the Client
B - Planned maintenance up to a maximum value of £25,000 per order, (subject to quotation and demonstration of Best Value*).
C - Minor works projects up to a maximum value of £25,000 per order, (subject to quotation and demonstration of Best Value*).
D - Out of hours Emergency Works.
[*Alternative quotations may be sought if the cost of the works are deemed to excessive]
The works are defined as general building works, including general plumbing but excluding mechanical and electrical works which are procured through separate term contracts. Some general building and project work may require an element of mechanical or electrical work to resolve the issue, which may be requested as part of the work order.
The Contractor must provide and maintain throughout the duration of the contract an "Out of Normal Working Hour Emergency Service" to avoid danger to health and safety of building occupants or serious damage to buildings and other structures. This service must be provided 24 hours each day including at weekends and during holiday periods.
The Client shall expect the Contractor to self deliver the majority of the work when Providing the Service.
Property affected by the service includes various public buildings (generally non-housing) and ancillaries within the local government boundaries of Worcester City Council.
This procurement is being carried out under a two stage process and Bidders are only required to complete the Selection Questionnaire at this initial stage. Please see the procurement documents for further information.
