Description
NTW Solutions Limited is part of the Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust Group. It is a subsidiary company which is wholly owned by the Trust to provide the Trust with estates, facilities, procurement and financial and workforce transaction services. NTW Solutions came into operation on 1 April 2017.
An opportunity has arisen within NTW Solutions Ltd capital programme to assist our experienced team and play a key role in delivering an important dual buildings refurbishment scheme providing inpatient mental health, occupational therapy and office accommodation. As such we require an experienced and enthusiastic principal building contractor to plan, manage, monitor and coordinate the construction works as described in the project information. The contractor will be responsible for providing all of the material, labour / specialist subcontractors, equipment and Health & Safety services necessary for the construction of the project. Previous experience of delivering projects of this nature within a healthcare setting is desirable.
Belsay (Villa 7) and Bothal (Villa 8) are two storey buildings situated in the heart of Northgate Hospital (Morpeth, Northumberland NE61 3BP). They are both former 12 bed assessment and treatment inpatient unit for people with learning difficulties and mental health problems. The buildings were last refurbished in 2010 and have remained unoccupied since 2018.
