Description
Public Health England (PHE) requires the provision of a mechanical engraver/cutter able to work on polycarbonate (PADC) polymer material. The system will be used for the preparation of PADC sensing element for radon passive detectors. This will include engraving digital as well as dot codes and cutting small detectors elements out of a large sheet of the polymer.
The proposed solution MUST be able to fulfil all of the following requirements:
- Be able to mechanically engrave and cut on the 1mm thick polycarbonate polymer.
- Be able to read design files with *.gnh extension.
- The engraver working area must be: 610x410mm.
- Provide a support to hold the cut plastic strongly; eg vacuum table or adhesive mat.
- Be able to collect debris/dust from the cut surface.
- The machine control software must be compatible with Windows 10 operating system.
- Be able to promptly provide maintenance service and repairs.
