Description

This tender is for the provision of a programme of Hydrometric Training for the Environment Agency. The training will provide knowledge and performance skills to enable reliable and cost-effective provision of high quality hydrometric data relevant to the Environment Agency business needs.

Our aim is to develop a more consistent national training package, which will increase cross area operability, by focusing on current techniques and technologies. To enable this to happen a good base knowledge of methods, procedures, practices, and technologies are required.

The programme will cover some more specialised aspects of the subject as well as a basic foundation for new entrants.

The three main outcomes we require from the successful provider is in producing:

- A series of interventions which will enable our staff to reach practitioner level that allows them to carry out basic hydrometric activities e.g. data collection and validation
- A series of interventions which support our staff beyond practitioner level to develop their expertise in the H&T service management
- A series of interventions which facilitate the understanding and technical knowledge to support the creation and assessment of stage discharge relationships
