Description

The ISIS Synchrotron at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory is undertaking a refurbishment program to replace the coils in the Q3 quadrupole magnets. The Q3 magnets are normal conducting D.C quadrupole magnets with a solid yoke construction that provide a symmetrical field about the beam centre-line. Each Q3 consists of
4 coils which each contain a single feed and return line.
The scope of the contract is to manufacture, test and supply the replacement coils for the upgrade of the Q3 magnets at ISIS.

A key aspect of this is the reduction in the number of security classifications used. All potential suppliers should make themselves aware of the changes as it may impact on this Requirement.
