Description

This contract is for the supply of plastic bags (polyethylene, polypropylene or a suitable equivalent) in a range of styles, sizes and colours. Such bags are required by Greater Manchester Police for a wide variety of specific or generic uses, and must be packaged appropriately for the designated use.

Deliveries may be required in batches or in bulk, to sites across the Greater Manchester Police force area.

This Invitation to Tender has been issued by Greater Manchester Combined Authority on behalf of Greater Manchester Police. This is a competitive procurement conducted in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The procurement is sub-OJEU but is being tendered using a procedure equivalent to the Open procedure.

Bidders should note that whilst the "Customer" is the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, the goods/services are essentially being delivered to Greater Manchester Police who will be the main users of the goods/services. Therefore the Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police will be given equal rights to the Authority to enforce the provisions of the Contract, under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
